FRAGILITY
We are all in the midst of a global biodiversity crisis. Species are becoming extinct at an unprecedented rate since dinosaurs became extinct 65 million years ago. Denmark can not escape this biodiversity crisis, because here too biological diversity is disappearing at an alarming rate. Less than 1% of Denmark is wild nature and unfortunately it is under increased pressure daily from human disturbances and activity.
The fragility project will highlight the fantastic creatures and landscapes that Denmark offers. In the future, the Danes also deserve to be able to go out into the wild Danish nature, to see beautiful butterflies, hear the call of birds of prey high above the treetops and experience the badger at dusk. The great nature experience is often closer than we go and think and if we are to preserve all these amazing experiences, we must act today.
I have made it my mission to photograph the great nature experience that is hidden in the Danish country because I wholeheartedly believe that we are better at taking care of nature if we have a greater knowledge of it.
